Dr. Lucas De Virgilio is an orthopaedic surgeon at the University of Miami specializing in pediatric and adult sports medicine, with expertise in arthroscopy and minimally invasive treatment of hip, knee, shoulder, and other sports-related injuries.
As an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, he cares for athletes and active patients of all ages — from young children and adolescents to collegiate athletes and active adults — with a focus on personalized treatment plans and safe return to activity. He has completed an adult sports medicine fellowship at the University of Miami, as well as advanced training in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, bringing specialized expertise in caring for growing athletes.
