MEET DR. DE VIRGILIO
Dr. Lucas De Virgilio is a dual fellowship-trained orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon in Miami specializing in the care of adult and pediatric athletes and active patients.
He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and provides comprehensive care for sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, and hip, with an emphasis on helping athletes and active patients return safely to their activities.
Dr. De Virgilio completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Miami, followed by additional fellowship training in Pediatric Sports Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. His approach emphasizes individualized, evidence-based treatment with the goal of helping patients safely return to sports and the activities they enjoy.
